  3. that direction than, say, the East. The East 
  4. however, has never had this visual culture, this 
  5. detribalizing force until now. They‚Äôre getting 
  6. westernized, their first touch of this visualizing, 
  7. disintegrative power now, so communism appeals 
  8. to Easterners as a form of Western civilization, as 
  9. an advanced visual culture‚Äîindustrialization‚Äî
  10. which is utterly disintegrating and visual.
